NEW FOR 2012!  We are please to launch a new series of intensive art workshops in 2012.  These workshops will be all-day sessions and are designed for artists wanting to explore specific areas of focus, hone or develop new skills and network and interact with other artists.
Featuring accomplished professionals in the field as the instructor, workshops take place the last Saturday of the month.  See details below.

In this class, emerging and beginner painters will all work on the painting theme provided by Maureen. At the end of this progressive 6 week class, everyone will have completed their own original artwork.
Choosing acrylic is a great beginning as it is very forgiving, and allows you to challenge yourself through the painting, while giving you brilliant colours and textural elements.

Instructor:  Jeanne Krabbendam

Learn to use different mixed media painting techniques to create your stories on canvas. This exciting workshop lets you use usual and unusual art materials to help capture a wonderful experience, to remember a loved one, or simply to record a trip or holiday. The workshop is full of information and hands-on exercises that enable you to explore this narrative art form. Jeanne will introduce you to the use of acrylic paints, spackle, gels, transfers, lifting techniques and collage to create expressive, unique and dramatic paintings which tell stories. No painting or drawing experience necessary. Bring a canvas or wood panel of your choice, all other supplies are included.
