After School Art

After School Art is a unique in-school program designed to build the school community and make the arts more accessible for elementary school students.

After School Art:


  • fills a gap in elementary school arts programming;
  • provides trained art instructors to students in their own schools,
    providing new opportunities for elementary school children;
  • eliminates the difficulty of transportation in the after school rush hour
    (bringing the teacher to the students rather than having the students transported to the teacher);
  • classes are offered in a safe and familiar environment for the children.
    Within this safe environment, among their peers, the barriers of fear and anxiety,
    brought on by new surroundings and new situations, is eliminated. This in turn
    enhances student creativity and the student’s ability to expand their skills.

After School Art is incredibly flexible and accessible, as we work closely with the schools
to ensure that the student’s needs are met. Often, we can augment material that the students
are learning in the classroom by coordinating courses that correspond with the subject matter.
