Spring Break Art Camps 2012 - Ages 6-10

We have 4 exciting classes offered for kids' spring break camps this year.  Your kids can choose from classes in drama, papier mâché & mosaics, fine arts or 3D art - all instructed by qualified, teaching artists.  A fun and exciting way to spend spring break.  

Camps are $125 for a half day, or $250 for a full day.  Full day registration includes a supervised lunch break.

Course Title: Exploring Art and Drama
Location: Maplewood House, 399 Seymour River Place, North Vancouver
Date: March 12 -16, 2012
Time: 9:30am - 12:30pm
Fee: $125
Instructor: Tiziana La Melia

In this fun and exciting drama and art class, kids develop the characters, the props, and the scenes. Through creating a play, students will learn paint techniques and basic craft strategies, such as set design and painting on found objects.

The final class will be a theatrical production shared with family and friends!

Course Title: Mâché & Mosaics
Location: Maplewood House, 399 Seymour River Place, North Vancouver
Date: March 12 -16, 2012
Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Instructor: Maureen Coles

Come smash, squish and create cool creatures and a mosaic mural.  In this week-long course, kids will get to design and create their own unique mosaic mural.  Other fun activities will include creating cool creatures and paper mâché masks. This is a hands on imagination camp so get ready to have lots of fun, make a mess, and create some beautiful pieces of art.

Course Title: Artist Adventures

In this fine arts class, students will develop their own art style. They will have fun learning about famous artists, colour mixing, creating patterns, and drawing techniques.

Course Title: 3D Art Explosion

Come play with an array of materials to create 3-D art! Art projects will include imaginative monsters created from recycled materials, mini terrariums, pillow case stories, dot painted talking sticks, toy gardens, and an alter-ego 3D portraits. Let your imagination run wild with this exciting art class!
