It was only a few years ago, that the only likely way to catch Haley K Turner singing her original tunes was if the lights were out. And so perhaps that is why this vivacious singer songwriter from Kelowna BC proves to be one of Canada’s hidden talents.

3:00pm - BC Swing Dance Club
The goal of the club is to provide swing dancers, from beginner to advanced, with great lessons,music, and a superior dance floor in a safe and welcoming, non- intimidating environment. Following May Is Art Month, they will be at the Confederation Centre, 4585 Albert St., Burnaby, BC on June 11.
3:35pm - Pro Arté Centre - dance school
In its 8th year, Pro Arté has established itself as a school of choice for students serious about dance arts on the North Shore and surrounding communities. Students have won numerous awards and scholarships Internationally at the YAGP And NYDA and locally at the Vancouver Ballet Society Spring Seminar and BC Provincials. Graduates have moved on to many prestigious post-grad dance programs (including Juilliard) and professional dance companies. Pro Arté offers intensive training programs for both Classical Ballet and Contemporary/Jazz students from Grades 5 and up.

1:00pm - Pat Ernst Trio
The Pat Ernst trio takes traditional Canadian, Celtic, and eastern European fiddle music and spices it up with original jazz/rock influenced sound. The trio plays original fiddle music with lots of different world influences. The band also plays popular instrumental covers With Patrick Ernst on Fiddle, Curtis Ernst on Cello and Stephen Nikleva on guitar.
2:00pm - Rose Ranger
Growing up in Vancouver, Canada, Rose Ranger initially trained in dance and later studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, along with the Capilano University Theatre Company, and the Vancouver College Music Program . Rose has performed throughout Canada, America, Germany, and Australia entertaining audiences at music festivals, theatre venues, clubs, private functions, and most recently Disney Cruise Lines. Her voice and self-penned songs have been featured in numerous films, television shows, and commercials. As a songwriter and vocalist, Rose brings a dynamic, wow-factor quality to her performances drawing upon her varied musical influences in pop, country, and soul music.

The dynamic Orith Fogel (acoustic bass & vocals) the brilliant Cat Toren (piano) and the rich tone of Melissa Hammer (trumpet), performing vocal and swing versions of jazz, blues, and Latin classics.
4:00pm - Shin Myung Drum Team - Korean Drumming
Shin Myung means “exhilaration”, a name chosen to express our passion for the music and celebration of life.
Our goal is to bring Korean traditional rhythms to the community at large, to promote sharing of culture, integration and harmony with mainstream society. Shin Myung is an all girl North Shore amateur group, and was formed in 2005 with five members. We have since attracted additional members bringing our number to 15. Our performances usually have at least 10 performers, and each performance lasts 10 to 20 minutes depending upon the routines selected. We encourage audience participation where appropriate, by inviting young members of the audience to join us on stage after the main performance, and drum with us when it is possible.
