BIG IDEAS: Responding to Public Art
April 8 - 23, 2011
Opening Reception: Thursday, April 7, 7-9pm
CityScape Community Art Space, 335 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver
"BIG IDEAS" is a student art exhibition. Art works have been created by North Vancouver High School students in response to the Vancouver International Sculpture Biennale.
Through this programme, students explore current topics such as homelessness, cultural identity, science and technology, societal norms and the environment. In creating cross-media artworks, students challenged their imaginations, responding to these poignant topics as they are evoked in the Vancouver Biennale art installations.
