    The Drifters

This is a series of hand-crafted boats constructed by driftwood found on local beaches. The boats have been at sea for many years and ingrained in the wood are memories of the seas and shorelines. Elizabeth Austin creates these boats to highlight our responsibility to the sustainability of our oceans.

“Their presence  is to remind us that the beaches and oceans have been entrusted to us for as long as we are here and it is our responsibility to keep them clean”, Elizabeth Austin.
