Tim was born in England in 1963 and moved to Canada in 1970. Growing up in Ottawa, he began painting with watercolours in high school. Tim has painted in this medium ever since. He is continually improving and evolving his technique, taking courses at Emily Carr and other institutions.
Over the years, his subject matter has ranged from landscapes and architecture to portraits. He loves the challenges and rewards of watercolours. He paints from personal experience, seeking to capture a moment in time.
After an extensive career in the high tech sector (video games and motion picture visual effects), Tim is emerging on the North Shore arts scene. He participated in the Harmony Arts Festival Art Beat in 2015 and 2016, and in the Harmony Group Show in 2016. He has painted commissions for North Shore organizations such as the Kay Meek Centre, has been accepted into the Art Market for Harmony Arts Festival 2017, and has an upcoming solo show at the Art in the Hall exhibition space at West Vancouver Municipal Hall.
Tim has lived in West Vancouver since 2005, with his wife and 2 daughters.
